We pay cash for trade scrap metal.
If you work as a tradesperson and use metal, then we can pay you cash for any scrap metal you accumulate as part of the job including metal offcuts, metal shavings, wire clippings, old sheets, copper pipe, corrugated iron, kitchen sinks and much more.
Below is a list of common items our tradie customers bring us for metal recycling.
Why You Should Recycle Your Scrap Metal?
Preserve Limited Metal Supplies
Metal is such an important part of our everyday lives. From the device you are reading this on, to the vehicle you drive and the food & minerals you eat – metals are an essential part of our functioning society.
The world has a limited supply of metals and as it stands at the moment, our demand far outweighs our supply. But the good news is metals are infinitely recyclable, meaning when recycled we can use them again and again.
The better news is, Sims Metal will pay you to recycle your scrap metal.
The more immediate benefit for you as a tradie is getting some cash for your leftover scrap. Sims Metal provides a range of recycling services and always leads the market on price.
Our goal with tradies is to get you in and out as quickly as possible so you can get paid and get back on the road.
Where Can You Recycle Your Scrap Metal?
For larger and more regular volumes of scrap metal, we can arrange to have a bin dropped off on your site. We understand that not all sites have the same access so can arrange to have a custom bin built specifically for your site.
If you have more than two trailer loads of scrap it might not be that practical to drop it off. If this is the case, give us a call and we can arrange a pick-up service.
We have 9 drop off sites across New Zealand for you to come in and drop your scrap metal off. Most of them have dedicated covered areas and we will always have staff on hand to help you unload.
